Workshop Debrief: Trust, Challenge, Accountability

Yesterday’s session was a reminder that high performance is not just about skill — it is about the environment you create.
Three takeaways that resonated most:
Trust before process — A flawless process is useless if people do not feel safe to speak up.
Challenge is healthy — Positive conflict, handled well, produces better decisions than constant agreement.
Accountability is shared — Great teams do not wait for the leader to fix everything; they own the results together.
One participant told me they realized their team was “polite but disengaged” — avoiding challenge to keep the peace. That is not harmony, that is stagnation.
If you want performance, build trust. If you want innovation, encourage challenge. If you want resilience, share accountability.
