One of my clients was in that exact situation. She had a bigger portfolio than her colleagues, yet her promotion was delayed. The reason given? “Not senior enough” and “stressing people out.”


What we uncovered together was that it was not her results that held her back, but her executive presence in meetings. Perception matters, sometimes as much as delivery.
