🚶‍♂️Unplugged in the French Alps🏔️

Just returned from an incredible 9-day hiking adventure with my wife across the French Alps, traversing the GR5 from Modane to St Etienne de Tinée, heading towards Nice. This journey was nothing short of extraordinary, reminiscent of the challenging treks in Nepal, particularly near the heights of Makalu peak (8463 meters).

📊 By the Numbers:

Distance: 154 km

Elevation Gain: 8463 m

Descent: 8791 m

Total Walking Time: 57 hours

The first half greeted us with rain, mist, and drizzle, but we pushed on. We navigated snowfields on certain peaks without crampons. The final days blessed us with sunshine and warmth.

What I treasured most was the complete disconnection from daily life, living in the moment, and the profound appreciation of nature.

Each day was an opportunity to explore, break down barriers, and connect with fellow hikers over meals.

This adventure reminded me a lot about career journeys. Sometimes the path is clear, other times it’s shrouded in mist, but every step, whether up or down, is a part of the journey. This parallels the experiences I help my clients navigate.
