💔 The way we recruit is BROKEN!

Maybe it's just me losing touch, but I feel like the recruitment process is becoming more of a transaction than a meaningful human interaction. Does this even achieve its primary goal of finding the best match?

As a hiring manager at a multinational corporation and a friend who has heard too many horror stories, I've seen both sides of the coin.

🔍 Behind the Scenes of Change

I was already familiar with the automated filters sifting through hundreds of resumes. But the leap towards automating interviews? That's a whole new level. Picture this: sitting at home, talking to a screen, navigating through back-to-back questions with no room for the personal touch that brings a candidate's story to life. This happened to my wife a few years back, and more and more to friends and colleagues around me.

🤖 The Inhuman Side of Innovation

This shift made me ponder: where did the 'H' in HR go? Are we focusing too much on the 'R' and forgetting the essence of human connection? My wife's experience with an automated interview was a wake-up call. Cold, impersonal, and frankly, inhuman—this isn't the future of recruitment we should aspire to.

👥 A Call to Action for Human-Centered Hiring

We need to challenge the status quo. It's time to question our over-reliance on technology in recruitment. If you, like me, believe in the power of human connection, let's make our voices heard. Refuse to play the game of automated hiring. Engage with HR colleagues and companies, urging them to remember the value of personal interaction.

💡 The Bottom Line

Efficiency should not come at the cost of humanity. We must strive for a recruitment process that balances technological advancements with the genuine, irreplaceable human touch.

🤔 What about your experience?

Have you ever felt reduced to a series of automated responses during what should have been a personal interview? How did it make you feel? Share your stories and thoughts on how we can bring the heart back into hiring.

PS: In our pursuit of progress, let's ensure we don't lose our soul along the way.
