Tailor Your Message with DISC

Want to be a better communicator at work?
Start by decoding how the other person operates—not just what they say.
One simple tool I use in coaching: The DISC framework.
Quick mental check:
Are they task-focused and fast-paced? (High D) → Skip the backstory. Get to the point. Propose action.
Are they people-focused and expressive? (High I) → Use energy, positivity, vision.
More process-driven or analytical? (High C) → Bring data, structure, and logic.
Steady, loyal, harmony-seeking? (High S) → Show how your idea creates safety and avoids disruption.
This isn’t about manipulation—it’s about respect. Respecting their language, so your message lands.
What’s one conversation that would benefit from a style shift?
