Silence šŸ¤āž”ļøšŸš«an asset in Communication, a Big problem in Leadership.

Writer: Eric FingerhutEric Fingerhut

I was talking with a friend last week working in Geneva. Members of the team are expected to be in the office three days a week. What does their manager do?

Nothing at all. šŸš«šŸ—£ļø

This shows us a lesson about being a leader ā€“ or not being one.

Here is the main point:

By saying nothing, the manager made things worse. This isn't just about one person missing; it's about how not dealing with issues can hurt everyone. It's like what I always say: being kind and understanding can actually lead to better results. šŸ’–šŸ”‘

But being kind doesnā€™t mean avoiding tough talks. It means we should face problems directly, with kindness and care. Good leaders don't just ignore issues; they solve them with empathy. šŸ‘„šŸ’¬ā¤ļø

So, what should we learn from this?

It is important to talk and fix problems, not ignore them. If something similar happens to you, donā€™t stay quiet. Talk openly, set clear rules, and be ready to make hard choices if needed. Itā€™s not just about what you do, but how you do it. šŸ—£ļøšŸ› ļøšŸš¦

Think about this:

How will you use your voice differently in the future to lead with courage and compassion? šŸ’šŸ—£ļøšŸ’Ŗā¤ļø

PS: Heart work will get you further! ā¤ļøšŸš€ Leadership is not for the faint of heart. It demands courage, empathy, and the willingness to tackle challenges head-on.Ā
